REQUIREMENTS & GRADING

The intrinsic nature of the subject does not lend itself well to classroom testing.

Grades in the course will be based on

  1. 5 written assignments (10 points each).

  2. A classroom presentation of 20 – 30 minutes length on a special investigation (20 points).

Each student will be expected to have a web site at www.albany.edu, a portion of which (that need not be publicly advertised) will serve as a vehicle for the submission of designated written assignments.

Additionally, there will be twice weekly assignments of reading and exercises which, though neither submitted nor graded, will be important for following the course.

ATTENDANCE:

Attendance at class meetings is a requirement for passing the course unless the student has made other arrangements with the instructor. Unexcused absence may result in failure or grade reduction.
