COURSE OBJECTIVE:

A survey of calculus with emphasis on problem solving.

Topics to be covered include derivatives (with applications to rates, curve sketching, and optimization), antidifferentiation, integrals and areas of curved regions, calculus of exponential and logarithmic functions, differentiation for functions of several variables, and optimization in the multi-variable context.

The material to be covered corresponds roughly to Chapters 1–7 in the textbook.
