MATH 214
Calculus of Several Variables
Fall Semester, 1999
Handouts
- How to represent geometric objects such
as curves in the plane and curves and surfaces in space.
- How to find extreme values of functions
of several variables: Look either on the boundary of the constraint
set or for a point inside the constraint set where the gradient of the
function is normal to the constraint set.
- A small package of Maple functions
related to the calculus of several variables. (This may require
some small revision in order to be compatible with the latest release
of Maple.)
